NOTICE OF
BOND RELEASEE
In accordance with KRS 350.093, notice is hereby given that Strata Mining, Inc. P.O. Box 962, Middlesboro, KY 40965, has applied for Phase II and III bond releases on increment numbers 14, 16, 17. 19, 20 and 21 of permit number 807-0277 which was last issued on June 1, 2009. The application covers an area of approximately 62.6 acres and is located 3.4 miles west of the city of Middlesboro in Bell County.
The permit area is approximately 3.4 miles west from KY 441's junction with KY 74 and approximately 0.3 miles north from Rockhouse Branch Road's junction with KY 74. The latitude is 36 degrees 36 minutes 45 seconds. The longitude is 83 degrees 47 minutes 53 seconds.
Total bonds now in effect for increment numbers 14, 16, 17, 19, 20 and 21 are certificates of deposit in the amount of $75, 100.00. Approximately 100% of the original bond amount of $75,100.00 is included in the application for release.
Reclamation work performed includes: Final vegetation establishment and was completed March, 2003.
Written comments, objections, and requests for a public hearing or informal conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Field Services, #2 Hudson Hollow, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601, by December 21, 2009.
A public hearing on the application has been scheduled for December 22, 2009 @10:00AM at the Department for Natural Resources Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Ave., Middlesboro, KY 40965. The hearing will be cancelled if no request for a hearing or informal conference is received by December 21, 2009.
